In her first week in office, President Vjosa Osmani is being asked to prioritize the issue of women raped during the war, the missing persons, and the empowerment of women in Kosovo. Kosovo, which has a woman president for the second time, is estimated to affect the empowerment of women and girls in the country, but the civil society organizations, require an additional commitment in this regard by President Vjosa Osmani. The director of the Kosovo Center for Gender Studies, Luljeta Demolli, says that the election of Osmani as head of state will empower the girls and women of the country and will be an example that politics is not just the arena of men. She says the country's new president should prioritize the issue of women raped during the war, the missing persons, and advocate for greater involvement of women in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process.
