In order to prevent infection and protect against COVID-19, the Ministry of Health calls on citizens who have been infected with the coronavirus in recent months to be vaccinated. Scientific data suggests that those who had COVID-19 can be vaccinated two weeks after recovery. The natural immunity gained from recovery weakens over time and moreover, not everyone who had COVID-19 gains enough immunity to protect themselves from re-infection, according to a press release. Therefore, in order to prevent re-infection, the MoH calls on these citizens to be vaccinated as the best and safest way to prevent COVID-19, especially severe forms of the disease and death.
