Teacher's Day is a holiday, which is dedicated to the educational staff of schools and universities. This date has its early origins, to remind the first foundations of the Albanian school, in fact it has begun to be celebrated, since 1960, when the Albanian state decided that this day is a holiday to commemorate the founding of the first Albanian School of Korça, which was founded on March 7, 1887. The Teacher's Day at the national level serves to appreciate the best traditions of the Albanian school,  teachers, but also of all education workers as educators of the new generation and as active contributors to the development and progress of Albanian society Until the beginning of the '90s in Albania, in order to promote the highest quality teaching, the most famous teachers were rewarded with high decorations that were Merited Teacher and People's Teacher.
