Likaj: Teachers are a key factor for social emancipation
The incumbent Minister of Education and Science, Rame Likaj on the occasion of March 7, congratulated all teachers, saying that good teachers are guiding and inspiring in the path of individual development and a key factor for social emancipation. Likaj wrote on Facebook that this date reminds us of March 7, 1887 when the first Albanian classroom was opened in Korça under the direction of Pandeli Sotiri.
"Today we can not leave without emphasizing the contribution of education staff who even in these extraordinary circumstances kept schools open and treated education with priority. They are the ones who over the years contributed to keep Albanian education alive and many of them did not even spare their lives for the freedom of the country. Good teachers are guiding and inspiring in the path of individual upliftment and a key factor for social emancipation. The future starts and is sealed in the school benches,” Likaj wrote.
