Kurti on the 23rd anniversary of the Rezalla massacre: The whole world knows about the genocide that Serbia has committed, those responsible to be tried and convicted
On the 23rd anniversary of the Rezalla massacre, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti paid homage to the memorial complex of the cemetery in Rezalla, Skenderaj.
Prime Minister Kurti recalled the victims of this massacre, saying that there is no doubt that the whole wordle knows about the genocide that Serbia has committed, and that for this, local and international justice must act with persistence so that those responsible, those who gave the order and the executors are tried and punished.
Together with the commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Lieutenant General, Bashkim Jashari and the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj have, Kurti laid wreaths at the complex.
Today marks 23 years since the massacre in Rezalla, Skenderaj, where 98 Albanians, residents of Rezalla and surrounding villages, were executed by the Serbian army and police.
Some of the bodies were found in Rudnica, Raska, and handed over to family members. On April 5, 1999, Serbs surrounded the houses of these families and shot almost all the young men and boys.
Only three persons survived the massacre in Rezalla. This massacre is considered one of the most ruthless massacres during the war in Kosovo.
