The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has called 2025 the year of women in Kosovo. At the first meeting for this year, Kurti said that they aim to empower women economically and socially by offering new opportunities.

Prime Minister Kurti pledged that to achieve this, they will make all necessary mechanisms available.
According to him, during his first mandate as Prime Minister of Kosovo, decisions have been taken that have positively impacted the lives and work of women and girls.

“The year 2025 will be the year of women in Kosovo. In our first mandate, we have taken numerous steps and decisions that have a positive impact on the lives and work of girls and women. Over 12 thousand women have been employed with direct government support. 51% of young people who benefit from the Super Puna employment platform are girls. 55% of the beneficiaries of the ‘Government for the Family’ employment program are women. We have supported over 60 thousand mothers with allowances for them and for newborn children....With our government, the representation of women in public enterprises and public administration has increased significantly. Meanwhile, through our measures and policies, support for them has also increased significantly in entrepreneurship, agriculture, education, health and access to property”, said the Prime Minister of Kosovo.
