While Serbian television channels in Kosovo broadcast in HD signal, this is not the case with local television channels. This is because in order to watch any of the televisions of Kosovo, citizens must subscribe to one of the operators, to get any of the digital packages. Kosovo's failure to digitalize television is proving to be one of the main reasons for this. Even the Progress Report highlights Kosovo's failure in this process. The Independent Media Commission (IMC) says that it has requested financial support from the Government of Kosovo several times, but has not received the necessary support.
