Kosovo Customs has decided to fire nine customs officials, against whom criminal proceedings are ongoing. Based on the internal investigations and the disciplinary procedure conducted, the officials in question were initially suspended, while after conducting a disciplinary process and based on the evidence administered, it was decided for final termination of employment. The evidence administered is clear to prove that the actions and omissions of officials in this case are punishable and constitute a serious violation of the Code of Conduct, according to the Customs notice. Kosovo Customs is committed to the service of the public interest and all customs officials must fulfill with the highest responsibility the duties and mission of Kosovo Customs, which serves the protection of the citizens and the economy of Kosovo.
