One week after the end of the parliamentary elections in Kosovo, the European Union is insisting on the resumption of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. From Brussels they say that the government and the new authorities in the country should be constructively committed to the continuation of the dialogue meetings, in order to reach a comprehensive agreement. Meanwhile, experts in international relations, believe that despite the statements on dialogue, the new executive and the next prime minister should approach this topic with priority and seriousness, but also focus on domestic reforms. European Commission spokesman Peter Stano in a response to KosovaPress says that they expect readiness for dialogue from the new government in Kosovo. With the publication of the preliminary results of the February 14 elections, Prime Minister Kurti said that dialogue will not be among his top priorities. Last year, despite a series of meetings in Brussels and Washington, a final agreement on mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia was not reached.
