​Covid-19, over 1600 dead since the first cases in Kosovo

The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo has announced that during the last 24 hours, a total of 4,193 samples taken by UCHSK and tracking of case contacts in the field have been tested, of which 548 cases resulted positive. According to the institute, within 24 hours 9 deaths were reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Gjakova 2 cases (80, 76 years old), Mitrovica 2 cases (84, 73 years old), Prishtina 2 cases (67, 70 years old), Ferizaj 1 case (72 years old), Istog 1 case ( 69 years old), Viti 1 case (58 years old). The total number of positive cases is 73,048 out of 329,900 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,649. During the last 24 hours, 301 patients have been cured the total number of cured to date is 61,986 cases, while the number of active cases is 9,413.
