The senior advisor of the US Department of State, Derek Chollet, has said that the implementation of the European proposal for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia would bring significant benefits to both countries.

In two posts on Twitter, Chollet has said that he talked with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, before Saturday's meeting in Ohrid, North Macedonia.

"I spoke with Prime Minister Albin Kurti about tomorrow's talks on the normalization of relations with Serbia, through the dialogue facilitated by the European Union. The implementation will unlock benefits for both countries and would show commitment to a peaceful future for the region", he said about the conversation with Kurti.
