The Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu said that the government has a great focus on railway infrastructure. He said that the Durrës-Prishtina project is a good opportunity for Kosovo but did not provide cost figures or more details, emphasizing that this is determined by the feasibility study. After the government meeting, Aliu said that Kosovo's existing railway network needs to be modernized. He said that with the modernization of the existing railway infrastructure, the Dry Port in Prishtina will serve the entire region. In the eighth meeting between the Government of Kosovo and that of Albania, an agreement was signed for the feasibility study for the construction of the Durrës-Prishtina railway.
