7 deaths and 259 new cases of COVID-19
During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with the method RT-PCR, were tested a total of 1,531 samples taken from the HUCSK and tracking of case contacts in the field, of which 259 cases resulted positive. Within 24 hours, 7 deaths were reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Ferizaj 1 case (75 years old), Gjakova 1 case (52 years old), Peja 1 case (70 years old), Prishtina 1 case (82 years old), Rahovec 1 case (67 years old), Suhareka 1 case (78 years old), Vushtrri 1 case (71 years old).
The total number of positive cases is 53,523 out of 195,475 persons suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,375. During the last 24 hours, 613 patients have been cured, the total number of cured to date is 45,613 cases, while the number of active cases is 6,535.
