The anti-Semitism that led to the Holocaust still exists, as today we see movements at the extremes of European and world politics proudly raising the ugly banner of anti-Semitism, which most threatens to turn democratic and civilized societies into societies that devour their own people.

This is what the Ambassador of the State of Israel in the Republic of Kosovo, Tamar Ziv, said during the commemorative ceremony on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Ziv said this annual Remembrance Day is an opportunity to remember those who were killed, to honor those who survived and those who risked their lives to save others, as well as to continue working to ensure that the horrors of the past will never happen again.
