Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic has resigned from his post due to protests over the tragedy in Novi Sad.
Vucevic, at an extraordinary press conference in Belgrade, said that this decision was accepted by President Vucic, while saying that he believes that the politics he represents must demonstrate the highest level of responsibility and introduce new norms in Serbian politics, proving that it is responsible.
“I think that the politics to which I belong, the party I lead, which has won all the elections, must show the greatest responsibility and demonstrate new laws, must show that it is objectively the most responsible. Therefore, after this event in the National Assembly, it is my irrevocable decision to resign. I had a long conversation with the president this morning, he accepted my decision, my arguments. Let everyone return to the conversation and seek the best solution. It is unacceptable for someone to attack someone else, it is absolutely unacceptable for you to attack the premises of the SNS,” said Vucevic.
