The Central Election Commission made a decision today to extend the deadline for applications for the registration of voters outside Kosovo for the process of voting for or against the removal of the mayors from their position in the municipalities of Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, Zveçan and North Mitrovica, which will be held on April 21, 2024.

This deadline, which according to the activity plan was expected to end on April 3, according to the decision of the CEC, has been postponed until April 5, 2024. According to the CEC, this decision aims to offer more time to citizens of Kosovo with the right to vote and who are interested in applying to register as voters outside of Kosovo.

The head of the CEC Secretariat, Burim Ahmetaj, said that until April 2 they have received only two requests for registration through the electronic platform.

On the other hand, the CEC also made a decision on the approval of the content of the ballot and the question that will be presented to the voters on April 21 in the ballot.
