The Member of the European Parliament and Permanent Rapporteur for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, has "dashed" Kosovo's hopes for membership with accelerated procedures in the European Union and NATO. However, she expressed optimism for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, following Russia's suspension. Meanwhile, she called last night's protest in Belgrade in favor of Russian aggression in Ukraine, irritating.

In a press conference on the last day of her stay in Kosovo, Von Cramon said that first Kosovo should get visa liberalization, have a successful dialogue with Serbia, and then start the normal path of European integration...
