Two agreements have been signed with EIB and EBRD for Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant in Mitrovica

The Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers Hekuran Murati, together with the representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Matteo Rivellini and Cagin Pabucco, as well as with the representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Matteo Colangeli, today signed financial agreements for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the municipality of Mitrovica, in the amount of 19.8 million euros and 13.5 million euros, respectively.

From the Ministry of Finance have shown that “The project co-financed by these two institutions envisages the construction of a wastewater treatment plant and the rehabilitation of the existing network. About 213,000 citizens of the Municipality of Mitrovica are expected to benefit from this project, through improved environmental conditions and public health. The development of this infrastructure project will reduce environmental pollution, especially in the Iber River. The project is also supported by the European Union, with a grant of 5 million euros through the Investment Framework for the Western Balkans...
