The agreement between the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (FKGK) and the German Development Bank (KfW) was signed, which aims to support enterprises in the country. Whereas, Kosovo will clearly benefit from this initiative, receiving 22.1 million euros, or 45 percent of the 50 million euros in total.

Likewise, with this project, which prioritizes the creation of at least four thousand new jobs, the entrepreneurship and sustainability of micro, small and medium enterprises will also be strengthened.

The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that this agreement has special emphasis on the support of companies in Kosovo. He added that it is expected that at least 4,000 new jobs will be created by this agreement.

The managing director of the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund, Besnik Berisha, while emphasizing the importance of this project, said that Kosovo will benefit significantly from this initiative, receiving 22.1 million euros.

The deputy governor of CBK, Milot Cakaj, considers that the signing of this agreement marks an important step towards improving access to finance for the sector of micro, small and medium enterprises as well as for the economy as a whole.

The Head of Cooperation at the EU Office in Kosovo, Johannes Stenbaek Madsen, has underlined that through these initiatives they aim to help the economies of the six countries of the Western Balkans, so that they can prepare for EU integration.

On the other hand, the director of KfW for Southeast Europe, Klaus Muller, expressed his happiness that they are part of this story from the beginning.

During the day, the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers, through a ceremony, signed an agreement worth more than 12 million euros with the German Development Bank (KfW) and the Kosovo Landfill Management Company (KLMC), which aims to improve waste management in Prishtina, Prizren and Gjilan.
