The implementation of the Law on Compensation to Crime Victims from 2019 onwards has made progress, but for victims of crime there is a lack of information by institutions on their right to compensation. Currently, the Minister of Justice is finalizing the amendment of this law which will provide greater opportunities for compensation of victims of various crimes, while the deadlines for application will be longer.

This was said at a roundtable organized by the Kosovo Law Institute (KLI), with the support of the US Department of State - Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and NED, in the framework of the “Crime Victims Week”, on the topic “Challenges in the implementation of the Law on Compensation to Crime Victims”...
