Despite the explosions and shootings during the night in the vicinity of Zvecan and Zubin Potok, the general security situation in the north of Mitrovica is currently calm and without any problems.

Kosovo Police forces are stationed in neighborhoods with a mixed population, taking care of peace and public order, while unlike the past days, today the presence of KFOR and members of EULEX is more visible.

Few citizens are seen on the streets of the north, while increased forces of the Kosovo Police and Italian carabinieri are located on the main bridge of the Ibar in this city.

Meanwhile, the roads to Bernjak and Jarinje continue to be blocked by the barricades set up by Serbs.
