Ten members of the Serbian List submitted their irrevocable resignations to the Assembly of Kosovo on Monday.

This has been confirmed by the Directorate for Media and Public Relations of the Assembly of Kosovo.

"We announce that 10 members of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo from the political parliamentary entity The Serbian List have submitted their irrevocable resignations", the announcement states.

The departure of the Serbs from the institutions of Kosovo followed the suspension of the director of the Police in the north of Mitrovica.

The latter refused to implement the decision of the Government of Kosovo on license plates, not issuing reprimands to Kosovo Serbs who do not convert illegal license plates to those of the Republic of Kosovo.

While today KosovaPress has also reported on Serbian policemen who are surrendering their weapons and uniforms to the police station in the north of Mitrovica, while those from other municipalities with a Serbian majority are expected to do the same.
