The list of voters was also certified for the process of voting in favor or against the removal of the mayors from office in the municipalities of Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, Zveçan, and North Mitrovica, which will be held on April 21, 2024. According to the CEC, this list contains 46,556 voters or 1,461 more voters compared to the elections held on April 23, 2023.In the meeting held on April 9, the CEC approved the procedure for the use of cameras in polling stations, a process planned during the drafting of by-laws by the CEC.
According to the procedure approved by the CEC, the placement of the cameras in the polling stations will be done fully ensuring the secrecy of the vote, as they will be placed at the other end where the voting booth will be, and the storage of the recordings will be temporary, until disposal of election materials, 60 days.
During the voting process, on election day, the cameras will not be monitored and access to the images can only be provided by decision of the CEC, ECAP, the Prosecutor's Office, or the Court and not in other circumstances.
