The spring session of the Assembly of Kosovo will start on Thursday with an extraordinary session, regarding electricity prices, initiated by PDK and supported by two other opposition parties, LDK and AAK. Through the resolution, the opposition parties will demand the reduction of the electricity price and the removal of the block tariff. In addition, after the meeting of the Presidency of the Assembly, the opposition expressed their readiness to go to new elections, while underlining that the same will create the next government and not the party in power, Vetëvendosje.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the PDK, Abelard Tahiri, said that after the stabilization of the global energy price, there should be a reflection in Kosovo as well, by lowering the energy price and removing block tariffs.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of Vetëvendosje, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, considered the beginning of the spring session of the Assembly with an extraordinary session as not good, who said that the legislature should start with a regular session and with the legislative agenda.

She accused the PDK, which according to her is trying to create extraordinary situations to prevent the normal flow of work in the Assembly.

However, the head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Arben Gashi, was critical of the majority for blocking work in the Assembly, who said that the VV is hindering the regular functioning of the Investigative Commission for State Reserves.

On the other hand, expressing the readiness for extraordinary elections in Kosovo, the head of MPs of the PDK, Abelard Tahiri, said that the opposition parties will create the government in the next elections and not the current party in power, the VV.

His opposition colleague from the LDK, Arben Gashi, expressed the same conviction.

AAK also expressed their readiness for elections, where they said that Vetëvendosje will never win 50 percent of the votes again.

On the other hand, the head of the VV Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, said that the government and the Assembly in the last year of the governing mandate are committed to doing as much as possible until the regular parliamentary elections.
