The one-year moratorium of Kosovo, which does not allow the application to international organizations is considered as a state suspension for this period. The two opposition parties, Vetëvendosje and the Democratic Party of Kosovo, say that this decision is very harmful, because Kosovo is giving up on foreign policy.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti stressed that this one-year deadline has been set to take advantage of reaching a final agreement with Serbia. He even justified it with the argument that without the help of the US, they cannot apply to any multilateral organization.
