The European proposal for the organization of new elections in the four northern municipalities in Kosovo is being considered as a good opportunity to de-escalate the situation, but with the condition that the Serbian List also guarantees participation in this election process. The ruling party says that this is not surrender, but a legal right that the citizens there can use for new elections. On the other hand, the opposition parties emphasize the need for the de-escalation of the situation in the north, but criticize the Government of Kosovo for reversing the operation of any institutional mechanism in the north.
