The municipalities hope that the Government will not take the money from their revenues

The Government of Kosovo, in the draft law on the budget, which has passed at the first reading in the Assembly of Kosovo, has foreseen that the unspent funds of the municipalities will be returned to the state budget. But in the Association of Municipalities of Kosovo, they hope that the central level will not take the funds from the municipalities’ revenues, because with this action they will violate the law on the management of public finances, the law on local finances, but also the European charter on local self-government.

Sazan Ibrahimi from AKK, has said for KosovaPress that despite the challenges, blockades and problems that the municipalities have faced this year due to the fault of the central level, by the end of the year they will spend over 50% of the funds for capital investments, which as a % is better than what the central level has spent in % for capital investments...
