Today marks one year since the signing of the Washington Agreement. Among the points was that Kosovo agrees to implement a one-year moratorium not to seek new membership in international organizations. However, from today, Kosovo has the right to apply. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora has not indicated how the state will act, and whether there are any applications ready. The opposition criticizes the government for failing in foreign policy, whereas, civil society says that the executive should already show a clear position on this issue.

Arber Fetahu, an expert on international relations, at the Group for Legal and Political Studies, says that the Government of Kosovo should have listed the organizations where it is most likely to be accepted, and consult with external actors, in order to understand the extent to which countries agree on Kosovo in this regard...
