The already traditional manifestation "Miners' Week" has started today in Stanterg as a sign of commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the historic strike of the miners of Trepça, which shook the foundations of the then state of Yugoslavia. On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said that they intend to turn "Trepca" from a sleeping giant into a mining asset.

Present at this demonstration were high state and municipal authorities, leaders of institutions, former participants of the glorious strike, miners, etc.

The head of the executive Kurti, recalling the events of 34 years ago, said that the mining community of Mitrovica with the miners of Trepca turned from a group of workers from whose sweat it was built throughout Yugoslavia, into a professionally organized political collective, from which also started the disintegration of Yugoslavia.
