Immediately after the identification of the first cases of Covid-19 in Kosovo, the Kosovo Security Force raised the level of operational readiness to level 2 and established the Task Force, in order to manage the activities around the pandemic.

However, the KSF refused to benefit from the government's package, which allocated 300 euros in additional payments to employees in the essential sectors who were directly exposed to the risk of infection. Army leaders say they have done so in solidarity.
