The issue of missing persons; Kosovo is waiting for a response to start excavations at new locations in Serbia

Serbia is continuing to keep secret the fate of over 1,600 missing persons in the recent war in Kosovo. However, Kosovo institutions expect an increased dynamic in this process, as within the territory of Kosovo there will be no information or location that will not be excavated. Whereas, in Serbia there are three to four locations for which our country is waiting for an answer to start the excavations.

The head of the Government Commission on Missing Persons, Kushtrim Gara, in an interview for KosovaPress, said that last year, the remains of 25 people were handed over to their families, while work was done in nine different locations where two bodies were exhumed...
