The government pledges greater support to non-majority communities

The Forum for Non-Majority Communities was inaugurated today, this is aimed at government support to non-majority communities in many areas.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo for Minority Affairs and Human Rights, Emilija Rexhepi, said that this meeting will serve as a platform for the empowerment of non-majority communities.

She also said that she has signed a memorandum of cooperation between Kosovo and ICO Kosovo Limited, which will advocate for economic development in areas where non-majority communities live.

Rexhepi said that in the years 2024-2030, it is planned to invest about 300 million euros for non-majority communities.

On the other hand, the representative of ICO Kosovo Limited, James Holmes, speaking about the memorandum of cooperation with the executive, said that it will enable greater support to non-majority communities.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Emilija Rexhepi, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, signed today the Memorandum of Understanding with the International Communities Organization. According to them, this memorandum will serve as a basis for investments in order to create new jobs with a focus on non-majority communities, the establishment of infrastructure projects and the strengthening of enterprises in order to increase stability in municipalities.
