Citizens express concern about the use of harsh language in election rallies. According to them, this should not be done by educated people who hold positions in the state. They say that the ruling party is using harsh language because, according to them, they are “trying to win the heart of the voters”, because they are afraid that they will not reach the required 51 percent.
Today, the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Submissions has fined three political entities for violating the “Code of Conduct” during the election campaign.
The ruling party, Vetëvendosje Movement has been fined three thousand euros for the language used by Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Peja on January 13. The Democratic League of Kosovo has been fined 20 thousand euros and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo 12 thousand euros. The Vetëvendosje Movement has filed a complaint against the LDK and AAK for these fines.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has received stronger criticism from citizens due to his position in power for using harsh language.
