The largest barricade placed in Rudare, by certain criminal groups, has started to be removed today around 15:00 by those who placed it.

There were only two masked people who are removing the trucks and other vehicles that were located in this barricade.

Most of these barricades were placed twenty days ago due to the arrest of ex-policeman Dejan Pantic, suspected of terrorism, who was released yesterday and placed under house arrest by order of the Court.

The Serbs for the first time erected barricades in protest in 2011 to oppose the extension of the power of the Kosovar authorities in that part of the country. Since then, the barricades have been a symbol of tensions and instability in the north of Kosovo.
