The Assembly of Kosovo with 89 votes in favor has approved the international agreement with the Millennium Challenges Corporation (MCC) for the Compact energy program. All the parliamentary groups supported the ratification of this agreement, however, the opposition parties emphasized that the Kurti Government has the least merit for the same, while they emphasized that it would be better to sign the agreement for the gas pipeline. Introducing the agreement, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi said that the Compact program represents the largest investment in the energy sector since the post-war period. He said that the value of this American grant is 202 million dollars, while the Government of Kosovo has pledged to support with 34.7 million dollars, making a total of 236.7 million dollars.
