The Association of Albanian Educators "Naim Frashëri" today marks the 32nd anniversary of its foundation.

This association of teachers was founded in order to demand the rights in education, opposing the discriminatory plans that Serbia made towards education in Kosovo.

AAE, organized in branches and sub-branches inside and outside Kosovo, took responsibility for organizing the teaching process at all levels of education. AAE was the main force that determined and led the development of education in Kosovo for a decade (1990-1999).

In cooperation with the professional bodies and schools of Kosovo, opposed the implementation of the discriminatory laws of Serbia. AAE took important steps in the preparation of new legal acts for the operation of the independent education system of Kosovo.
