Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi announced that Spain recognizes the passports of the Republic of Kosovo.

He wrote in a post on Facebook that the citizens of Kosovo can travel without visas to this European country, which has not yet recognized the independence of our country.

"DG Home has announced that now even Spain recognizes the passports of the Republic of Kosovo. Thus we can travel without visas to this country. While the visa-free movement started on January 1, Spain is a destination that is added to the countries of the Schengen area where we can travel through liberalization, where the obstacle earlier was the non-recognition of our passport. We continue on, to bring other good news, which positively affects our citizens", writes Bislimi. DG HOME, the Department of the European Commission, is responsible for migration and home affairs.
