Connoisseurs of football and sports circumstances in Kosovo consider the joint candidacy between Albania and Serbia to organize the European football championship for the U21 age group in 2027 as hasty and unnecessary.

Journalist and connoisseur of sports circumstances, Lulzim Shala said that the painful history of Kosovo is still fresh and that Albania's cooperation with Serbia is very hasty.

But beyond history, coach Agron Selmani told KosovaPress that Kosovo should not abstain from any European competition regardless of the circumstances.

However, Shala casts doubt on what course would take a hypothetical case where Kosovo could face Serbia directly on the field of play.

Unlike Kosovo, the Albanian journalist Erjon Halili considers that this is not a true cooperation between Albania and Serbia.

Otherwise, at the beginning of June, the Albanian Football Federation announced that, together with the Football Federation of Serbia, they submitted to UEFA the candidacy for the organization of the European Football Championship for the U21 age group, which will take place in 2024.
