The Student Feminist Movement together with student activists protested today in front of the Rectorate demanding the dismissal of university professor Xhevat Krasniqi, denounced by 27 students for sexual harassment.

While the Ethics Council held a meeting during the day to review the harassment of the students of the Faculty of Medicine by Professor Krasniqi, the students led by the Feminist Movement have blocked the Rectorate's door until the expulsion decision will be made.

The member of the Student Feminist Movement, Anita Mjeku, has stated that in addition to the continuous protests for five days in a row and the blocking of the Rectorate's door today, the student group has called for a boycott of lectures at the University of Prishtina (UP).

Professor Hajrullah Koliqi, member of the Governing Council, said that the professor denounced for sexual harassment should be temporarily suspended until another decision is made.

After the meeting of the Council of Ethics, the students blocked the door of the Rectorate. Immediately after this action, the Kosovo Police intervened by forcefully dispersing the activists of the Student Feminist Movement, as well as arresting the activist from ORCA, Rron Gjinovci. /A. Drenica
