Reçak, the massacre that awakened international awareness

The former head of the OSCE mission, William Walker, remembers well January 16, 1999, when it was difficult for him to walk and see the murdered and massacred bodies in Reçak. He said that since that time, almost every year he has noticed changes in this village, as well as a larger number of citizens coming to the Memorial Complex. He also mentions former president Hashim Thaçi, while he tells that three years ago he gave the latter a rose to remember Reçak.

Ambassador William Walker said that the village of Reçak means a lot to him.

In marking the 24th anniversary of the massacre in this village, he expressed his happiness with the changes that have been made in this place...
