Delays in the reforms of the education, health, justice system, few foreign investments, as well as open issues with Serbia, are some of the factors that continue to negatively affect the development of the country's economy. For 16 years as a state, Kosovo continues to face the security problem, which has a negative impact on the attraction of foreign investments.

This is the opinion of the president of the Kosova Chamber of Commerce (KCC), Lulzim Rafuna, who says that the state of Kosovo should be more serious with the institutions of the European Union in addition to the agreements, in order to promote our country more.

He requests the Government of Kosovo to be in coordination with the USA and the countries of the European Union for any important decision for the country.

In addition to these challenges, Rafuna considers that there are also developments in the country, adding that the businesses, which have directly influenced the development, are to blame for this.

Rafuna, in an interview for KosovaPress, asks the state institutions to act at a faster pace regarding the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, since according to him this is affecting the economy to lag behind.

While, he says that the country's policy should be in coordination with the USA and the countries of the European Union, in this form, as he says, Kosovo can move forward with economic development.

Whereas, Rafuna also counts the achievements for 16 years as a state. According to him, the biggest contributor to these successes are businesses.

Speaking about the development of the economy in the country, he says that the responsible institutions must be more responsible in the execution of capital projects, adding that it must be proven that as a country we are stable and have a good business environment.

Whereas, he is optimistic that once these are achieved, Kosovo's economy will develop and improve significantly.

While reemphasizing that more work should be done with the USA, Canada, New Zealand so that there are as many of their investments as possible in Kosovo, as well as finding new markets.

Meanwhile, the punitive measures imposed by the European Union for eight months now remain a challenge for Kosovo, from which the country has lost tens of millions of euros. This happened due to non-fulfillment of the EU's requirements for the extension of the situation in the north.
