Qelaj: 2022 was challenging, human rights were significantly violated

Over 1,500 complaints from citizens have been filed at the Ombudsperson Institution. Even during the last year, the largest number of complaints speaks of the denial of the right to a fair trial and the delay of judicial procedures. Institutions have not implemented even half of the recommendations that have been made, whereas 69% of them are awaiting implementation. In the interview for KosovaPress, the Ombudsperson states that the past year has been challenging with many cases that violate human rights. Naim Qelaj also talks about the issue of the right to life, the situation of persons with disabilities and the Law on Protection from Discrimination.
