The Castle of Prizren, the League of Prizren, the Fountain, the Cult Objects, are just some of the places in the city of Prizren that bring hundreds of thousands of visitors from the region and the world during the year. Known as a tourist destination, this city is managing to bring tourists from different countries of the world to Kosovo, says the mayor of this municipality, Shaqir Totaj.

He told KosovaPress that there has been an increase in the number of tourists over the years, adding that they are working to promote the cultural tourism that characterizes this city as much as possible. However, he criticizes the government for lack of cooperation, as he says, there is not enough support for tourism. He also says that the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports mainly invests only in the revitalization of buildings and not in other parts.

Totaj estimates that the promotion of tourism contributes to the economic development of the country, but says that for this, funds are needed from the executive.

While listing the countries most frequented by visitors, he says that during the summer season tourists also come from distant countries, such as Japan, China and Korea.

Veron Tara, from the "EDUCO" organization, which deals with the promotion of tourism, also says that Prizren is being visited by hundreds and thousands of tourists. He even estimates that the largest number of visitors this city has ever had was last year.

Tara says that among the countries that have visited Prizren, there were some that have been to Kosovo for the first time.

Tara has also listed some of the features that attract visitors to come to this beautiful city.
