Over 6 million additional euros are allocated for electricity in the north until the end of the year

Kosovo Electricity System, Transmission and Market Operator, KOSTT, has allocated 6.7 million euros more than was foreseen in May this year for the payment of electricity for the four northern municipalities, thus extending the payment period until end of this year. Thus, the initial cost of 11 million euros has already increased to 17.7 million euros.

On May 6 of this year, with 61 votes "in favor", without the presence of opposition MPs, the Assembly of Kosovo had approved the recommendations of the Committee on Economy regarding the request of KOSTT to provide 11 million euros to cover losses in the northern part of Kosovo. Among the recommendations was that the Government of Kosovo was obliged to find a solution within 6 months to extend the billing system in the northern municipalities...
