Osmani: We honor all the veterans who did not hesitate but resisted
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani on Veteran's Day said that she bows before all those veterans, for whom then and today, the homeland is above all! Osmani also wrote on the first attack of the enemy forces against the Jashari family in Prekaz that happened 30 years ago.
"The end of the year coincides with the Day of the KLA Veteran, which is dedicated to the people who had the courage to become defenders of the homeland in the most difficult moments, but also to be messengers of freedom. Today we honor all those veterans who did not hesitate, but resisted, did not hesitate, but fought and did not retreat, but gave impetus to our freedom. This date falls on the same day when 3 decades ago, on December 30, 1991, the legendary commander Adem Jashari and his family started the resistance in a direct confrontation with the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime, thus marking the beginning of the military resistance of the army, which he led until his fall along with his family. I bow before all those veterans, for whom then and today, the homeland is above all!", Osmani wrote on "facebook".
