President Vjosa Osmani has stated today that the European Commission has recommended the lifting of visas since Kosovo has met all the criteria, therefore political decision-making during the Czech Presidency is more than urgent and the entry into force of visa liberalization should not remain hostage to any technical aspects.

She made these comments today during a meeting with the delegation of the Committee for Foreign Policy of the Parliament of Portugal, headed by the chairman of this committee, Sergio Souza Pinto, whom she thanked for Portugal's support to Kosovo.

With the Portuguese delegation, President Osmani discussed interstate relations and Portugal's support for the process of visa liberalization and membership in the Council of Europe.

In the meeting with the Portuguese delegation, the president also spoke about the importance of Kosovo's admission to the Council of Europe. According to her, membership in this organization advances freedoms and human rights. In this context, she thanked Portugal for its support so far.

In the meeting, the mutual readiness for the exchange of experiences and the advancement of cooperation between both parliaments, as well as in the field of foreign policy, defense, education, tourism and other spheres of common interest, was shown.
