According to a press release from the Presidency, speaking about the successful examples of the implementation of this agenda in Kosovo, President Osmani emphasized that the commitment has been comprehensive, including the extraordinary role of civil society, but also the high institutional responsibility. She emphasized that over 20,000 women were raped in Kosovo by Serbian forces during the last war. In this context, she also appreciated the great importance behind the establishment of the Commission for the verification of the status of victims of sexual violence in Kosovo to help the recovery and proper treatment of the survivors after the end of the war.
