The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has congratulated President Volodymyr Zelensky and the people of Ukraine on Independence Day.

Osmani wrote in X, that in the face of an unprovoked war, Ukrainians have demonstrated remarkable resilience, strength, and unwavering resolve to the world.

"Kosovo has stood with you and will continue to do so as you defend your nation and strive for a just and lasting peace. Slava Ukraini!", she wrote.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, has welcomed Ukrainian citizens who live and work in Kosovo.

Kurti wrote on Facebook that Kosovo has become a second home for them. "On this occasion, I expressed my deep appreciation and solidarity for their work and efforts in such a challenging time. Because today the resilience of Ukraine and its citizens is unparalleled and heroic. Ukraine is the bulwark of European democracy. The Republic of Kosovo will continue to be a strong supporter of Ukraine's liberation struggle for peace, freedom and democracy, and a supporter of the resistance and determination of the Ukrainian people, in defense of the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of their state. Let the just fight for freedom triumph, against the violence, brutality and unjustified aggression of the Russian Federation. Happy Independence Day to Ukraine and all its citizens", he wrote.
