On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo from Serbian forces, state leaders paid homage to the grave of former Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova. Congratulating the citizens on this day of liberation, they pledged to work for justice for all victims, damage and suffering caused to the people of Kosovo by Serbian forces. The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu on this day expressed her gratitude and bow before the contribution of all those who paved the way for freedom and independence. Osmani-Sadriu said that the former president of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova is the architect of independence, who built bridges of friendship that still serve Kosovo.
