The Central Electoral Commission (CEC), in today's meeting, has approved the voting centers for the snap elections on April 23 in North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavic and Zveçan.

From the 44 voting centers that are in the four northern municipalities, the CEC has reduced them to 19, where 13 of them will be alternative. Meanwhile, the CEC also decided to reduce the number of polling stations from 69 to 34, until the number of voters per polling station increases from 750 to 2,000 voters.

The chairman of the Council for Electoral Operations, who is also a member of the PDK in the CEC, Arianit Elshani, said that this decision has come in coordination with the security institutions. According to him, out of 44 voting centers in the north, only eight of them have confirmed that they can open them, but after security assessments, it has been determined that only six of them can be opened.
